The Jewel in the Crown is here for the Baking Industry in the form of The Excellence in Baking Awards 2008.

There are 2 categories that make up this pretigious event

 

The Individual Category

 

 

The first is the individuals to be held at the Food Service Australia Expo(ICTF) May 12th -14th at the Sydney Convention Centre Darling Harbour. The Bake-off is witnessed by many visitors who attend this famous trade expo. The categories for the Bake-off include Master Baker, Master Pastry Chef/Cook and the Apprentice section of Baker or Patry Chef/Cook. The Bake- off is conducted over 3 days of the Expo and all the contestants are invited to attend the awards ceremony in November at the A.J.C Convention Centre in Sydney. This promises to be a geat night with the winners of the apprentice section recieving grants towards further education/skill training.

BUSINESS CATEGORY

The business category winners of the Excellence in Baking were announced on Friday night 21st Nov at the A.J.C Function Centre Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. With over 180 people in attendance there were many awards presented during the night. The pinncale of the evening was the 3 business categories
