Following
the enactment of the Occupational Health & Safety
Act 2000 (NSW), there is considerable emphasis on employers
to ensure they comply with their mutual obligations within
the workplace.
Employers remain vicariously liable for the acts, omissions and errors of their
employees; whilst employees must exercise a duty of care to other employees at
work. The BIA maintains funding assistance from the WorkCover Authority in developing
effective training and awareness tools.
